Penfold Insurance Agency was established as an independent insurance agency and brokerage in 1979 by Darlene Penfold. The agency is located on the Northern California Coast in Eureka, CA, in the "heart of the Redwoods". It has operated at the same location for 30 years.

The agency affiliated with The Leavitt Group in 1999 in order to provide additional service and offer a broader spectrum of available markets to customers. While maintaining local ownership and management, this affiliation provides customers with more options to meet their insurance needs.
